Acting School
Acting School, is an intensive program designed to help actors of all-levels to become professionals in line with global standards.
The program not only includes the theoretical classes necessary for working in the sector as a well-equipped actor but also incorporates intensive implementation and project workshops.
A projects chosen after the completion of scriptwriting school will be shot by Famelog Academy Directing and Art Directing School students in full and students who successfully graduated from Famelog Academy Acting School acts in the chosen project. The project collaboratively produced by Famelog Academy “Directing, Art Directing, Scriptwriting and Acting Schools” is submitted to the local and international film industry and festivals.
Having three different levels designed in line with the needs of the students “Beginners - Intermediate - Advanced”, the school is made up of three session, each lasting 12 weeks. So as to proceed to an upper level session, a student is obligated to complete the preceding one with success.
INTRODUCTION TO ACTING
Scheduled Time : Tuesday, 18.00 - 21.00
An actor’s acting is open to all sorts of distributions on the stage. This can be for numerous daily reasons such as our problems with the family and friends, or other psychological problems; anxiety due to being on the stage or a camera and before a crowd.
Actors’ truth is to follow up their instincts at all times and realize them sincerely on the stage. While looking for the truth on the stage, we cannot ignore this factors.
This program aims to help you overcome these situations by teaching you how to be mindful about your feelings all the time on the stage. The program allows the actors to follow their own truth to the stage through monologues after having a high number of stage exercises and improvizations during the education period.
DICTION AND RHETORIC
Scheduled Time : Monday, 18.00 - 21.00
‘Diction and Rhetoric’ program teaches students how to improve their breath, sound, articulation, toning, speaking methods and techniques in Turkish. The program aims to help students gain awareness, condition and control over improve their diaphragm breathing and voice technique as well as their knowledge of phonetic rules and articulation and toning skills to liberalize the way they use their tone.
SCENE STUDY I
Scheduled Time : Tuesday, 18.00 - 21.00
Every artist aiming for a long-term career in acting creates their own methods by internalizing all the things they learn over time. This program aims to hold a mirror of their own life experiences and help them reveal their all qualifications. During this exploration period, the artist learns how to analyze a scenario, unreveal a screen and perform the most creative performances based on their own truth. The foundation of this program is the character and works aimed to develop the inner world of the character.
Having worked on Stanislavski, Eric Morris, Chubbuck and on-camera acting, Barış Kışlak delivers training in line with the needs of every actor by blending various teachings for his coaching methods.
scene study II
Scheduled Time : Monday, 18.00 - 21.00
This program aims for the student to explore their own way of acting without being dependent to a certain technique and method. In this three month-long training, there is a never-ending search. This program gives the student an open and unknown scene so that the actors can find their own truths by making mistakes. Things come alive during this process are unique and very private for the actors. In addition to that, all the situations experienced and tried are a part of the show.
The actors learn to exist on the stage through thought methods and techniques. Then what is left when we leave these to aside? A great unknown… This journey begins with showing the courage to accept the notion of unknown. This courage arouses curiosity and encourages the students to go for a search. At this point the stage turns into a place where there is no such a thing as a support system besides the one you create yourself. By getting lost, forgetting and making mistakes; this is how you create your own method. Furthermore, it must never be forgotten that everything is a part of the show.
Enrollment and Admission Conditions
Candidates can apply to the school by filling in online application forms. The final enrollments will be conducted after the candidates send their CV to academy@famelog.com along with a headshot ve demo reel and as a result of one to one interviews and evaluations held by the selection committee.
After the evaluations, the students will be placed in classes in accordance with their levels. The school holds three different levels -Beginners, Intermediate and Advanced.
To proceed to the next level, the students are obligated to receive the classes stated in the schedule of the course and achieve 70% attendance.
After 12 weeks, the selection committee will decide whether the student will advance to the next level or not as a result of one to one interviews and evaluations.
Art Directing School
When a scenario is finalized to be shot, it is an art director’s job to design, sketch and approve the necessary locations; to design and procure accessories according to the scenario; to determine many visual requirements such as colors and light sources in line with the dramatic structure of the context.
The most important aspect of being an art director is creating a design that will not be against the sense of reality. An art director’s main job is to create a world we do not live in with their designs and produce a sense of reality. A successful art director needs to be well-equipped with a variety of disciplines including design, drawing, art history, painting, photograph, film history, etc.
Art Directing School is the only “practical” art directing program in Turkey that aims to raise qualified talents with the needed wide knowledge and experience.

Enrollment and Admission Conditions
The students are admitted upon CV and an interview with instructors.
The students who successfully complete the-24 weeks program are entitled to a Participation Certificate.
In addition to the theoretical education provided, our instructor Mustafa Ziya Ülkenciler will lead an applied course in his Studio and some of the sets located in Beykoz Kundura.
Script Writing School
Scriptwriting School aims to form a story into a proper scenario based on ‘story development’ and ‘the foundations of a scenario’. Lasting six months, the contents of the program are supported by customized, hands-on exercises.
By helping the writer raise awareness regarding their own subconsciousness, the program enables the writer to create a story with one-of-a-kind and unique dynamics.
Acclaimed director and script doctor Tevfik Başer reviews the scripts, developed together with leading experts and important guests from the sector, to turn them into projects that can be presented to local and international media.
Furthermore, Famelog Academy brings a project into life, chosen by the experts during the academic term. The project that is formed through the collaboration of Famelog Academy “Directing, Art Directing and Acting” schools, is also submitted to local and international film industry and festivals.

Musical Theatre School
Embodying all kinds of performing arts, Musical Theater School is an intensive school that combines acting, diction, singing and music education. The program offers a carefully formed curriculum, designed in a way that incorporates various disciplines of performing arts into its schedule to have the participating students improve and excel themselves in every constituent.
The school aims to equip students with the skills to perform a musical theater throughout and at the end of the program.
