Tunahan PEKDEMİR
Born on March 28, 1992, in Kocaeli, Tunahan Pekdemir has contributed to numerous significant projects in the fields of art direction and creative direction. During his undergraduate studies at Sakarya University’s Faculty of Fine Arts, Department of Ceramics and Sculpture, he won the International Industrial Design Award twice consecutively and worked as a faculty assistant for three years. He is currently pursuing a master's degree in Modern Art and Visual Design.
He began his professional career as a freelance designer of movie posters and has also produced cover designs for the theater and music industries. In 2015 and 2016, his alternative film posters designed for the international AMP group were recognized as the best alternative poster designs for two consecutive years. Tunahan Pekdemir has also made significant contributions to visual projects such as credits and video design in the cinema and music sectors. Some of his notable works include the title sequence and logo design for the Netflix film Boğa Boğa directed by Onur Saylak, project development and poster design for Ayazmanın Yılanı, a theater play written and performed by Ercan Kesal for the IKSV Theater Festival, the poster design for Derûn, directed by Müge Uğurlar, and the creative visual design processes for Reflection (Akis) directed by İlker Savaşkurt. Additionally, he plays an active role as a creative director at Amirler Film, contributing to various projects.
In the music field, he has designed album covers and concert posters for international artists such as Tom Odell, Chet Faker, and Black Coffee, as well as Turkish artists and bands, including Adamlar, Merve Özbey, Yüzyüzeyken Konuşuruz, and İkilem. He also worked on special projects like the vinyl cover design for Harekete Kimse Mani Olamaz. Alongside these projects, he continues to provide visual design and consultancy services to corporate clients. Since 2017, in addition to his independent work, Tunahan Pekdemir has been working as an art director at Yer Creative Design Agency, where he focuses on poster designs for series, films, and theater projects.
