Akın GÜNGÖR

Akin Gungor was born in 1983, Izmir. He studied Directing at Izmir Dokuz Eylul University’s Fine Arts Faculty’s Cinema TV Department. He attended many festivals and workshops after his graduation. Then he started his professional career with some of the successful tv series like “Love Is In The Air, Lovebird, Böyle Bitmesin, Remember Darling, Brave Heart, Heartbeat, Lawless Lands” as assistant director. He also worked as assistant director at digital series “Innocent”, “Vahşi Şeyler” as well as the movies “Keeping the Bees” and “The Turks Are Coming””.

In 2021, his movie “Tunnel” , which he both wrote and directed, travelled many film festivals all around the world. He continues to be the moderator of the Turkish Directors Association which he is also the founder member. He is now assistant director for Disney+’s launch projects Numen.
